A2A (Account-to-Account) Money Transfer
What Is It?
NYCE A2A, or account-to-account money transfer service, enables the real-time transfer of money between two accounts at federally insured financial institutions that participate in the NYCE Network.
NYCE A2A has all the speed of a wire transfer but usually at a far lower cost. Plus it's brought to you by NYCE, a name you trust for secure, reliable and convenient cash management.
NYCE A2A lets you make real-time money transfers to fund other accounts, pay bills, send money to someone, or to help manage your own personal finances. If your bank or credit union is offering NYCE A2A, all you need is your ATM/debit card and access to an ATM at your financial institution.
How Does It Work?
Confirm that your checking account is with a bank or credit union that participates in NYCE A2A. If you're not sure,
ask your financial institution.
To make a real-time transfer to someone else, ask that person to give you the number that is embossed on the front of his or her ATM/debit card. You also must ask them to confirm that their account is with a bank or credit union that participates in NYCE. The NYCE logo is on the back of their card.
You do not need the PIN or expiration date! Only the card number on the front of the card, usually 16 digits. And the recipient doesn't have to do anything to receive the funds – the money will be deposited and quickly available for withdrawal.
Bring your ATM card to any NYCE A2A ATM and follow the ATM prompts for “money transfers.” The ATM menu will guide you through the steps. You can also do this to make a real-time transfer to an account of your own at another financial institution or to pay a bill.
If you have more questions, call your bank or credit union's information number and ask about NYCE A2A.
