Welcome Consumers
When you want access to conveniently manage your money or are looking for a secure payment alternative, your ATM/debit
card and personal identification number (PIN) can give you immediate access
to your financial accounts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
If your financial institution participates in the NYCE network, you can use your debit card at any of
over 210,000 ATMs and one million merchant locations that display the red and white NYCE logo. Look for this logo on the back of your card:
You can use your ATM/debit card to pay for purchases at grocery stores, pharmacies, gasoline stations, home improvement stores, discount chains and many others. Simply look for the debit card PIN pad machine (also known as a terminal) at the checkout, or ask the clerk if ATM/debit cards are accepted. You can also use your ATM debit card at any of the thousands of NYCE ATMs to withdraw cash, check your balance, and transfer funds between accounts. If the financial institution that issues your card permits, at cetain NYCE Network ATMs you can even make deposits.
Being able to pay for purchases with your ATM/debit card saves time, eliminates the need to carry extra cash, and ensures you won't be billed later for a purchase that is made today. That's because by using your ATM/debit card, the money is deducted from your account immediately, much like making a withdrawal at the ATM. And, at many retail locations, the clerk can ring up your transaction for an amount higher than the total purchase, giving you cash back on the spot and avoiding an extra trip to your financial institution or ATM.
So the next time you're shopping, remember your ATM/debit card. It's fast and easy - and that's NYCE!
