Account to Account Services: Emerging Product Overview (BITS) Account-to-account (A2A) electronic funds transfers enable consumer-directed funds flow between consumer accounts. These accounts may be those of an individual consumer located at different financial institutions (FIs), or of different customers within or outside of a single financial institution. Financial institutions are increasingly entering the A2A business. Although still nascent, A2A services are growing in size and complexity.
